About

Introduction:

Michael N. Koukias received his Diploma in Electrical Engineering, and his PhD from the University of Patras, Patras, Greece, in 1975 and 1986 respectively. He also received his M.Sc. from the University of Manchester, Institute of Science and Technology (UMIST), U.K. in 1980. He is an Associate Professor in the Department of Electrical & Computer Engineering of the University of Patras. He teaches courses for many years in the area of Telecommunications and Informatics. He has published more than 55 conference/journal papers and has over 100 third-party citations. He is author /co-author of 5 books and teaching notes and of many technical reports.. He has participated in more than 15 national and EU research programmes, dealing with design and development of telecommunication systems and networks, Telematics and telemedicine services and Internet applications. He has been a reviewer of scientific journals and conferences and a member of scientific and organizational committees of conferences.

His scientific interests include digital communications systems, teletraffic engineering, telematics applications, internet technologies and web services.
