Projects
Ilias Kotinas has participated in a wide variety of European and National R&D projects as a software engineer, researcher, designer, copywriter, technical assistant, web developer and AI researcher. Selected important contributions include the development of speech recognition applications with CMU Sphinx-4, the design and development of a distributed and adaptive sensor network based on portable embedded systems, the development of a simple web versioning system (KorLab), a web framework for the development and transformation of desktop apps to interactive web demos, the design and development of the interface and accessibility enhancement of a Greeklish-to-Greek converter and the engineering of several web applications and collaboration frameworks supporting the collaboration and dissemination needs of EC projects (AMIBIO, ECAI, SERIES, ACES, ORCHESTRA, TECHNOISI). In parallel with his involvement in WCL activities, he is professionally occupied as a freelancer in the Web Development World.
